The Embera are one of the seven native groups of Panama. On this tour, you will travel into the tropical rainforest and go up the Chagres River by dugout canoe, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. The Embera people will share their traditions, way of life, and how they make their handicrafts, followed by traditional dances and music. You will also enjoy lunch prepared by the Embera community (fish and plantain), and depending on weather conditions, you may visit a waterfall on the Chagres River.

Day 01

Embera Village and Chagres River Experience

Travel for 1 hour by car from Panama City to the Chagres River.
Take a 15-minute canoe ride along the Chagres River.
Depending on weather conditions, we could visit a waterfall on the Chagres River and swim there.
Arrive at the Embera village.
Enjoy a presentation about Embera culture.
Enjoy lunch prepared by the Embera community.
Enjoy a dance presentation by the Embera people.
You will have the opportunity to buy handicrafts made in the village.
