Jordan River, Galilee and Nazareth Sacred Sites
Begin the day by crossing the Jordan Valley and visiting the Jordan River, where you can immerse yourself in the sacred waters.
Explore the site of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Magdala and Mount of Bliss. After your visit to Mount of Bliss, continue to Tabgha and stop along the shore. For those interested in lunch, there will be a stop at a place offering St. Peter's fish ($20).
After lunch, visit the Bay of the Apostle Peter, Capernaum, and the Greek Monastery of the Twelve Apostles. Then head to Mount Tabor, home to the Orthodox Greek Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Lord, where you will see the miraculous icon of the Mother of God "Fadeless Color".
Your last destination for the day is Nazareth. Visit the Church of the Annunciation and the Church of the Archangel Gabriel at the source of the Virgin Mary. You will also explore Cana of Galilee and the Church of the First Wonderworking of the Savior.
