• The legendary fortress was built on the cliff above the Dead Sea by King Herod the Great and was the site of one of the most dramatic events in Jewish history, the siege of Masada by the Roman army. Reach the top by cable car and visit the remains of storehouses and palaces, the synagogue and water supply system, the bathhouse and walls, as well as the Roman military camps and siege ramp. Of course, you will also enjoy incredible views of the Judean Desert and Dead Sea area.
