Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, we will take you on a fascinating tour inside the market, showcasing local products, fresh vegetables, textiles, and dairy products, while giving you a glimpse into the everyday life of Gambians.
- Next, we will take a short drive to the Kachically Crocodile Pool, where you will discover the spiritual significance of the pool and have the unique opportunity to safely and responsibly stroke crocodiles. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will leave you with unforgettable memories.
- Continuing our journey, we will visit the Abuko Cattle Market, where animals are openly sold. Here, you will learn about the cultural importance of these animals and gain insight into animal husbandry practices in Gambia.
- Our adventure takes an off-the-beaten-track turn as we head to Lamin Lodge, where you will enjoy a refreshing coffee and tea break accompanied by homemade doughnuts. Take in the breathtaking views of the tributaries of the Gambia River while relaxing in this serene setting.
- We then venture into the Hidden Gambia, stopping at local schools to learn about school life and the educational system in Gambia. As a gesture of support, we will provide the schools with gifts such as books and pencils. Afterwards, we will visit the famous Paradise Beach, where you can indulge in a delicious lunch, relax, and engage in recreational activities.
- Our final stop is the Tanji Fishing Center, a bustling hub of activity and a vital aspect of Gambian life. Here, you will witness the entire fish production line, from the porters and local sellers to the ice production factory, smoking sheds, boat building, and net fixing.
