Day 01

Temples, Wet Market, and Local Life in Kuala Lumpur

• 8:00 am: Meet and greet at your hotel. The tour begins.
• Visit a century-old Chinese temple for insight into fortune sticks and Confucian/Taoist practices.
• Visit another century-old Hindu temple for insight into the beliefs and symbolism of Hinduism.
• Visit a Muslim mosque and learn important aspects of the beliefs of the majority race in Malaysia.
• Expose yourself to an Asian wet market and be amazed at the uncountable variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, and river and ocean seafood. Some may seem weird, but they are also very fascinating.
• Enjoy an experience on the Monorail/Subway and conclude with a local lunch.
• The tour ends at 12:00 noon. The sun and heat will be quite strong, and it is recommended that you either go back to your hotel to rest or visit an air-conditioned Arts & Crafts Centre for browsing and souvenirs.

• This is a walking tour, and the weather is hot and humid. Even when we begin the tour at 8:00 am, the sun is already up, and the average temperature in the city is 30-33 C.
• The tour ends at 12:00 noon. If you want more, then look at my other tour, which is a Sunset Tour. It is a 5-hour walking tour from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The places in that tour complement the morning tour.
