The itinerary

Day 01

Transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, our company representative, together with your experienced safari guide, will meet you and provide a brief overview of the safari. This briefing will mainly focus on the guidelines to follow while on the safari. After the briefing, we will drive to southwestern Uganda, which will take approximately 7-8 hours.
During the journey, we will make a stopover in Fort Portal for lunch before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Along the way, we may pass through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth, where you might have the chance to see rare tree-climbing lions hanging lazily in the tree branches.
Upon arrival at the park, we will check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 02

Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience

After breakfast at our lodge, we will embark on the highly anticipated gorilla trekking experience. Before setting off, we will receive a briefing about the necessary precautions for the visit to the park, and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions about the activity. An armed ranger guide will then lead us to the starting point of the trek, where we will begin our search for the gorillas. The duration of the trek can vary from 1 to 8 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla group.
Once we encounter the gorillas, we will spend an additional hour in their presence, allowing you to take photos and videos. After the encounter, we will return to the main gate for your gorilla trekking certificate. In the evening, we will visit a local community to experience their culture and interact with the Batwa people, who were once forest inhabitants. This guided cultural tour will give you a chance to witness their hunting skills, music, dance, drama, and art. You can also purchase their homemade crafts as souvenirs. Later, we will return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 03

Return to Entebbe via the Equator

On the third day of your 3-day Bwindi gorilla safari, we will start with breakfast before commencing our journey back to Kampala. The drive will take approximately 9 hours, and we will make a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for photographs at the line that divides the world into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. We will proceed to Kampala city and continue to Entebbe airport for your flight home.
