The itinerary

Day 01

Nairobi to Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley

A briefing from your guide/driver will be provided as you depart Nairobi for the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Along the way, you can stop for pictures of the valley, the Suswa Mountains, and Mount Longonot. In Narok town, a typical Kenyan meal is provided before continuing to the Masai Mara.
After a brief rest at your lodging within the game reserve, you will head out on your first game drive. This is your first opportunity to see the creatures you have grown to admire, and your private safari guide will help you spot some of the savanna's greatest inhabitants.
We recommend taking the opportunity to purchase souvenirs from the Maasai locals at the park's entrance. They make excellent gifts and allow you to contribute directly to improving the local community's standard of living.

Day 02

Full-Day Wildlife Safari in Masai Mara

On your full-day game drive across the game reserve, you can spot more than 3 million large creatures that call the Masai Mara home. Your knowledgeable Kenyan safari guide will assist you in spotting the magnificent wildlife and may show you some of the world's most beloved species, including lions, elephants, hippos, and wildebeest. Lunch is served picnic-style as you explore the reserve. If you are lucky, you might witness the famous migration across the Great African Rift Valley plains or see grazing herds of animals.
In the afternoon, you can visit a Maasai community. Their culture is admired across the world for their encounters with wild creatures and their mastery of a nomadic way of life in this valley, considered the origin of humanity. The village will welcome you with traditional songs and dances, give you the chance to see a traditional house, and let you learn about the way of life of this remarkable community. (This activity carries an additional fee of $20 per person.)

Day 03

Sunrise Game Drive and Return to Nairobi

An early morning game drive is possible as the Masai Mara transitions from night to dawn. One of the must-have experiences during an African safari is hearing the dawn chorus over the savanna. After the wildlife drive, breakfast is served before you begin the return journey to Nairobi.
On the way back, you will stop in Narok town for lunch and sample some authentic Kenyan cuisine. Depending on your plans, you can choose to head straight to the airport upon arrival in Nairobi or continue to your hotel. If you wish to catch the train from Nairobi, a 5 am start can be arranged on this day to suit your schedule.
