Arusha to Tarangire National Park Safari

In the morning, you will be collected from your hotel with a packed lunch to begin the trip to Tarangire National Park. The distance from Arusha to Tarangire is 120 km, and the journey may take about 2 hours and 45 minutes to reach the park.
A Wildlife Haven
The park takes its name from the Tarangire River, which runs through it and attracts a large concentration of animals during the dry season between June and September. Covering an expansive area of 2,850 square kilometres, the park supports diverse plant and animal life. You can expect to encounter magnificent creatures such as elephants, hartebeests, kudu, wildebeest, and the Big Five. The landscape is characterized by grassland plains adorned with iconic baobab trees.

Tarangire National Park offers sightings of various animals, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs, reedbucks, rare black rhinos, and much more. Additionally, the park boasts over 550 bird species, making it an ornithologist's paradise. Some identified bird species in Tarangire include mousebirds, hornbills, bateleur eagles, kori bustards, bee-eaters, lilac-breasted rollers, and hammerkops.
