8-Hour Cape Peninsula Tour from Cape Town with Penguins and Cape Point

This will be our first stop shortly after the commencement of the tour. You will have the pleasure of seeing the multicultural reaches of the Bo-Kaap neighbourhood, where Malay, Indian, and Dutch traditions coalesce, and you will have the opportunity to admire its picturesque colourful houses.

Enjoy a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard, passing through Clifton, one of Cape Town's glamorous highlights. Upmarket Camps Bay draws crowds to its namesake beach, known for its fine white sand, natural rock swimming pool, and views of the Twelve Apostles mountains.

Upon arrival at Hout Bay Harbour, a quaint fishing village, you will have the option to board a boat cruise to the Cape Fur seal colony on Duiker Island at your own expense, or spend free time browsing the local curio shops at the harbour.

We then drive via Chapman's Peak Drive, which offers the most mind-blowing and breathtaking views, weather permitting. With sheer drops to the sea below and towering mountains rising above you, the twists and curves in the road seem endless, making it a photographer's dream.

There is a plethora of things to do and see here - from the majestic mountains to the mighty ocean, not to mention the impressive flora and fauna in between. The mountain and ocean meet in a thunderous clash of water against rock, producing a dramatic landscape inhabited by an incredible diversity of life.

No Cape Peninsular Tour is complete without a visit to the Cape of Good Hope, Africa's most southwesterly tip. Hiking trails to the summit of the Cape make for a great activity and sightseeing experience. At Cape Point, you can take the funicular at your own expense or walk up to the lighthouse while enjoying the Cape Floral Kingdom, the smallest of the world's floral kingdoms and one of the most diverse.

On this pristine beach, nestled amongst the huge granite boulders, is a colony of around 2,000 endangered African penguins. You will have the opportunity to take photos and admire them closely.

This is another of the 27 Blue Flag-awarded beaches, well known for its distinctly colourful and iconic beach huts. You might be lucky enough to see surfers experiencing the thrill of riding the waves.
