3-Day Lycia Highlights Tour with Kekova Boat Trip and Dalyan

We will pick you up by car from either Fethiye or Kaş and begin our day by visiting Girmeler Cave, one of the few prehistoric settlements in the Lycian region. After a short photo break, we will drive up into the mountains to explore the ancient site of Tlos. Tlos was one of the six major ancient cities in the Lycia region, and we will admire its impressive rock tombs and sarcophagi.

Once we've explored this fascinating site, we'll head to Saklıkent Gorge for lunch and enjoy gorge walking. From there, we'll drive to Patara Ancient City, where we'll stroll among the ruins and visit Turkey's second-longest sandy beach. Finally, we'll drive back to either Fethiye or Kaş.

On our second day, we'll start by visiting the Myra Ancient Site and its rock tombs. We'll then proceed to St. Nicholas Church, where the tomb of St. Nicholas, also known as Santa Claus, is located. This church holds significance as one of the prominent saints of the Christian world.

After a short drive, we'll reach Üçağız Village, where we'll board a boat. While enjoying our lunch on board, we'll witness the ruins of the sunken city on Kekova Island. We'll anchor at Simena Village to explore the castle and the mesmerizing landscape of the area. On our way back to the boat, we'll have the opportunity to taste homemade ice cream. We'll then sail back to Üçağız Village to meet our car and drive through Kaş or Fethiye.

Today, we'll start early in the morning for our drive to Dalyan, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful riverboat trip through the reeds of the Koycegiz River. We'll keep an eye out for loggerhead turtles in this serene setting. From the water, we'll have a view of the rock-cut tombs of ancient Caunos, and once we step onto dry land, we'll further explore the ruins that date back to 400 BC.

We recommend bringing your swimming costume today, as we'll have the opportunity to take a dip in the inviting turquoise sea at Iztuzu Beach. While there, you can also visit the Turtle Conservation Centre (DEKAMER) before we return to Dalyan. The conservation center works to protect the turtle nesting areas on Iztuzu Beach, cares for and rehabilitates injured turtles, and educates local fishermen on the importance of using propeller guards. Later in the afternoon, we'll head back to either Fethiye or Kaş.
