The itinerary

Day 01

Hanoi to Cao Bằng via Đông Khê and Nguom Ngao Cave

6:30 - 7:00: Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter.
7:15: Depart for Ban Gioc Waterfall - one of the four waterfalls located between two countries and one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world.
11:00: Arrive in Đông Khê town, the site of the First Indochina War.
12:45 - 13:00: Have lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, continue the journey to Nguom Ngao Cave (Tiger Cave). Then get back on the bus and continue to the homestays near Ban Gioc Waterfall in Cao Bằng Province.
16:30: Check in at the homestay and relax.
18:30: Have dinner at the homestay.

Overnight in the homestay.

Day 02

Ban Gioc Waterfall and Mat Than Mountain to Hanoi

7:00: Have breakfast and check out of the homestay.
7:45: The driver and guide will pick you up from the homestay to visit Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world.
11:00: Return to the bus and continue to Mat Than Mountain (Thung Mountain), located in Quảng Uyên District.
13:00: Lunch at a local restaurant in Quảng Uyên District, Cao Bằng.
After lunch, take the bus back to Hanoi.
19:00: Arrive in Hanoi.
