The itinerary

Day 01

Sigiriya via Pinnawala and Dambulla

Drive to Sigiriya via Pinnawala.
Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and Dambulla Golden Temple.

Night stay in Sigiriya.

Day 02

Sigiriya Experiences and Transfer to Kandy

Drive from Sigiriya to Kandy.
Early in the morning, visit Sigiriya.
Spend some time at the Batik factory and Wood Carving Factory, as per your choice.
Enjoy elephant riding and a village tour in Sigiriya.
On the way to Kandy, visit Nalanda Gedige in Nalanda, Ash Temple, and a colourful Hindu Kovil in Matale.
Also visit the herbal garden in Matale.

Night stay in Kandy.

Day 03

Kandy City Tour and Cultural Sights

Go for a Kandy city tour.
Visit the Tooth Relic Temple.
Enjoy an Upper Lake drive.
Spend some time near Kandy Lake.
Click photos of Bahirawa Mountain.
Visit the Botanical Gardens.
Take part in the Kandy traditional dance show.
Pay obeisance at the Degaldoruwa Temple.

Day 04

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya through Tea Country

Drive from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya.
On the way, visit one of the beautiful waterfalls in Ramboda.
Stop for some time at a hill country tea estate and visit a tea factory.
In Nuwara Eliya, spend some time near Gregory Lake, New Zealand Farm, and Galway Forest.
Visit Horton Plains in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 05

Nuwara Eliya to Ella by Scenic Route

Drive from Nuwara Eliya to Ella.
See the most beautiful railway track in Sri Lanka from Nanuoya, near Nuwara Eliya, to Ella.
A train trip to Ella can be made today if you wish. The daily train schedule is 9:30 am, 12:30 pm, and 3:30 pm.
After that, you will be picked up from Ella Railway Station and visit Little Adam's Peak, Rawana Temple, Rawana Waterfall, and Nine Arch Bridge.

Night stay in Ella.

Day 06

Ella to Yala or Udawalawa

In the morning, visit Demodara Railway Station to see the very amazing railway track.
Then drive to Yala or Udawalawa, depending on your choice.
On the way, visit Buduruwagala, an ancient Buddhist temple.
Also visit Yudaganawa and Maligavila if you wish.

Night stay at Tissa or Udawalawa.

Day 07

Safari Morning and Transfer to Mirissa

Early in the morning, at approximately 6 am, leave for a jungle safari and move to Mirissa by noon.
In the evening, rest on the beach.

Night stay in Mirissa.

Day 08

Whale Watching and Return to Colombo

Leave in the morning for Mirissa Fisheries Harbour to see whales and dolphins.
Then return to Colombo and see the stilt fishermen, Turtle Hatchery, and Mask Museum. Also enjoy a boat safari on the Madu River.

Night stay in Colombo or drop-off at the airport.
