Promenade to an ancient Hindu pilgrimage with a visit to the Taman Ayun temple, a Balinese temple and garden with water features located in Mengwi subdistrict in Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia. Henk Schulte Nordholt wrote in his book Negara Mengwi that Taman Ayun was renovated in 1750. The architect’s name is given as Hobin Ho.

Taman Ayun temple
Start the tour with a visit to the famous Tanah Ayun temple.
Go to the Jatiluwih rice fields, 600 hectares of rice fields, scenic area with verdant and undulating rice terraces.
End the tour at Ulun Danu temple, a central Hindu Shaivite Shiva temple in Bali, Indonesia. The temple complex is on the shores of Lake Bratan in the mountains near Bedugul.
