Sign up for this excursion to explore the Frederiksborg Castle, which has now been turned into a museum, and stroll inside the beautiful park behind the castle. Then travel across the Museum of National History (a part of the castle), which houses the royal art and artifacts that shaped the nation.

Itinerary

Frederiksborg Castle Tour
- Drive to Hillerød from Copenhagen.
- Visit Frederiksborg Castle and see the Baroque style gardens next to the lake. It is a palatial complex in Hillerød, Denmark. It was built as a royal residence for King Christian IV of Denmark/Norway in the early 17th century, replacing an older Manor House acquired by Frederick II and becoming the largest Renaissance residence in Scandinavia.
- The National History Museum is a part of the Palace.
- Return to the city after the Palace and Museum Tour.

What's Included

English-speaking experienced tour guide

If it is 1-4 persons, then The Tour is by Car and the Transportation is included in the Fee

A Wheel Chair may be possible on the condition it fits into the boot of the car

What's Excluded

Entry fees

Transportation if more than 4 persons then a large taxi/Limousine will be required at additional cost. If more than 7/8 people, then a mini Bus/Coach will be required at additional cost

Note: More time is required to book a Bus/Coach preferably 2 weeks in advance. A Large Taxi will preferably be booked the day before. If wanting a Limousine, it will be more expensive and more time required to book in advance.

A Wheel Chair may be possible on the condition it fits into the boot of the car

Know Before You Go

It is possible to extend this tour to include for example Roskilde Cathedral and Viking Ship Museum or Kronborg Castle.

Taxi or Limousine will be approximately 1000 Dkr from Copenhagen Town Hall Square to Frederiksborg Slot. for up to 7/8 persons. (requires booking several hours or the day before preferably.

A minibus or a coach will be required for more persons and more advanced notification is required.

Transportation is available only for group tours (minimum of 5 people).

If less than 5 persons ie: 1-4 persons, then It can be done in my car.

What To Bring

Important Documents ie: Passport, Health Cards, Driving Licence, cash/credit cards etc Official Documentation (Passport !) Must be with you at all times whilst in Denmark

Sensible walking shoes (also for going up against some small staircases)

Meeting Point

Somewhere around Copenhagen City area. But it does not matter however times must be considered depending on extra distance. Also Traffic considerations have to be considered.

For cancellations upto 2 days before the tour -

Refund of 80% of the tour price.
