Lava Tube Caving and Þingvellir Exploration
Pick-up from your hotel in Reykjavik.
Drive to Thingvellir, the most historical place in Iceland.
Take a walk around Thingvellir, a historic site and national park in Iceland, east of Reykjavík. It is known for the Alþing (Althing), the site of Iceland's parliament from the 10th to the 18th centuries. On the site are the Þingvellir Church and the ruins of old stone shelters. The park sits in a rift valley caused by the separation of two tectonic plates, with rocky cliffs and fissures such as the huge Almannagjá fault.
Next, head to the lava cave, which is only 5 minutes away.
After the caving experience, return to Reykjavik.
Drop-off at your hotel.
