The itinerary

Day 01

Khor Virap, Areni Wine Festival, and Noravank

  • Connect with your tour guide at the meeting point and drive south for approximately half an hour through the Ararat Valley to visit Khor Virap Monastery and the royal prison.
  • Enjoy the beauty of the legendary and biblical Mount Ararat.
  • Proceed to take part in the wine festival in Areni village, where local winemakers are waiting for you.
  • Visit Noravank, probably one of the most beautiful monasteries in Armenia. It is a masterpiece by Momik, a famous Armenian architect.
  • In the afternoon, have lunch and a wine degustation at an Areni winery.
  • Later, transfer by jeep to Smbataberd and hike to Tsakhats Kar Monastery.

Overnight in Yeghegnadzor.

Day 02

Tatev Monastery and Hermitage Walk

  • Drive for one and a half hours to visit the world's longest double-track reversible cable car,

Day 03

Karahunj, Shaki Waterfall, and Jermuk

  • Early in the morning, head to Karahunj, an Armenian Stonehenge.
  • Explore Shaki Waterfall.
  • In the afternoon, drive to the spa town of Jermuk and visit Mermaid's Waterfall in the gorge.
  • Enjoy the blue surface of the Kechut water reservoir.

Overnight in Jermuk.

Day 04

Selim Pass, Noratus, and Lake Sevan

  • This day is dedicated to Gegharkunik Province. Around 11 am, reach Selim Pass and the Caravansaray. Noratus Cross Stone Elementary is the visiting card of Armenia.
  • Soon you will reach the lake, where you will see Hayravank Monastery exactly at the edge of the water.
  • By the afternoon, reach Lake Sevan, one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world, and visit St. Arakelots and St. Karapet churches.
  • Drive 22 km and enter Tavush Province.

Overnight in Dilijan.

Day 05

Dilijan, Monasteries, and Lastiver Hike

  • Dilijan is the Pearl of Armenia, situated in the forest. Sometimes locals use the term

Day 06

Akhtala, Haghpat, Sanahin, and Odzun

  • Early in the morning, leave the city and drive about 2.5 hours to visit Akhtala Monastery and Fortress, and enjoy the wonderful murals of this beautiful church.
  • Hike from Haghpat to Sanahin through the ruins of Kayan Fortress. These two monasteries are included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The duration of the hike is 3 hours.
  • At 5 pm, visit Odzun Church, which dates back to the 7th century AD.

Day 07

Arboretum, Amberd Fortress, and Saghmosavank

  • At 10 am, your first stop will be the Arboretum, founded by the Polish engineer Leonovich in 1937.
  • After a one-hour walk in Dendropark, continue the trip south.
  • Enjoy the scenery of three Armenian mountains - Ararat, Aragats, and Arai - from the remnants of Amberd Fortress standing on the slopes of Mount Aragats.
  • At 4 pm, visit the Armenian Alphabet Memorial and Saghmosavank Monastery in the Kasakh Gorge.
  • In the late evening, reach Yerevan and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 08

Yerevan City Tour

  • Yerevan city tour includes the following sightseeing places:
    • Matenadaran, the largest book depository
    • Mother Armenia Statue and Victory Park
    • Opera and Ballet House and Freedom Square
    • Northern Avenue, a walking street with cafes, offices, and shopping malls
    • Republic Square and the Singing Fountains
    • GUM market of fresh and dried fruits
    • Levon's Divine Underground, the miracle cave

Day 09

Etchmiadzin, Garni, Geghard, and Farewell Dinner

  • At 10 am, start the religious tour by visiting Hripsime Monastery.
  • Then move to Etchmiadzin, the holy centre of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the residence of the Catholicos, the Patriarch.
  • At 12 am, visit the Museum of Relics to see the legendary Spear of Longinus, the Roman soldier who wounded Jesus Christ at the Crucifixion.
  • At 2 or 3 pm, go to Garni Pagan Temple and Geghard Spear Monastery to create unforgettable memories.
  • At 7 pm, enjoy a farewell dinner and an Armenian flatbread lavash masterclass at the restaurant.

Overnight in the Yerevan hotel or transfer.
