Duong Lam Ancient Village, Temples and Countryside Cycling
Pick-up at 8:30 am and travel west of Hanoi to Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River Delta where many hundred-year-old houses have still been preserved.
Visit Ngo Quyen Temple and Phung Hung Temple, places dedicated to the two national heroes Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung.
Ride a bike to Mia Pagoda in another hamlet of Duong Lam village, built in the 15th century, and admire its 287 statues of all sizes, including famous sculptures such as the Buddha in the Himalayas and the Eight Vajra Deities.
Continue riding around the village to discover daily life and meet the farmers working in the fields, with a stop to visit ancient houses dating back 200 years. Enjoy a special Vietnamese lunch in an ancient house.
Walk along tiny ancient alleys to visit Mong Phu communal house in Mong Phu hamlet, and continue on foot to see local people living in the ancient village.
Drive back to Hanoi.
