6-Day Chobe, Hwange and Victoria Falls Safari with Sunset Cruise

• Upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, meet your guide/driver and transfer to Hwange Safari Lodge, just a two-hour drive on tarred roads.

• After check-in, embark on a late afternoon game drive in the Hwange Safari Lodge estate, which borders Hwange National Park. There are no fences between the main park and the estate. This three-hour drive extends well into the night, offering good chances of encountering the big cats.

• After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a full-day safari in Hwange National Park through the Main Camp gate. The park is home to over 65,000 elephants, which dominate the water points in the afternoons during the dry season. Other animals that can be seen here include lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, buffalos, impalas, kudus, sables, elands, waterbucks, zebras, giraffes, baboons, warthogs, and many more.

• Return to the lodge at around 4 pm.

• Hwange offers a safari experience to rival the great parks of East Africa - the Serengeti and Masai Mara - but without the crowds. Enjoy another fun-filled day in the park, this time looking out for your favourite animal or bird while perhaps ignoring species that now seem common. On a good day, you may even return to the lodge earlier, having seen all there is to be seen.

• After breakfast, transfer to Victoria Falls in air-conditioned vans on a two-hour journey.

• After check-in, head to Victoria Falls via the big baobab tree for a guided tour. The walk along this 2 km stretch lasts about two hours.

• Pass by the Open Curio Markets for souvenir shopping.

• At 4 pm, transfer to the jetty for a relaxing Zambezi River sunset cruise. Enjoy a sundowner and snacks as you gaze out across the riverbanks, and keep your camera ready to capture one of Africa's amazing sunsets.

• Expect to be back at the hotel at about 7 pm.

Overnight at Elephant Hills Resort on B/B.

• Today, you will be collected from your hotel at 7:30 am for a full-day safari in Chobe National Park in Botswana. The game viewing begins even before you cross the border, as you will drive through Zambezi National Park for 70 km on the way to Botswana.

• Start the safari with a game-viewing boat cruise on the Chobe River. This is followed by a buffet lunch at the four-star Chobe Safari Lodge.

• After lunch, continue into Chobe National Park in custom-made 4x4 safari vehicles for a three-hour afternoon game drive. Visit the upper Chobe River area, which is not accessible by boat. This is where you may spot shy predators such as lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and sometimes leopards, occasionally even on their kills.

• Leave the park at about 4:30 pm for the drive back to Victoria Falls in comfortable air-conditioned minibuses.

Overnight at Elephant Hills Resort on B/B.

• Transfer to VFA. This is your last day in Victoria Falls, and airport transfer times will depend on your flight schedule.
