The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival and Journey to Maasai Mara

You will be met on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or at your hotel and briefed by a friendly company representative. Then drive past the extinct volcano of Mt. Longonot and Suswa into the homelands of the Maasai. The Maasai Mara constitutes the northern stretch of the Serengeti and has the richest concentration of animals in Kenya. In the afternoon, you can observe the unique world of the Maasai Mara.

Day 02

Full-Day Game Drives in Maasai Mara

Enjoy incredible morning and afternoon game drives on the plains of the Maasai Mara. This iconic reserve offers amazing wildlife viewing opportunities. You'll likely see zebra, impala, gazelle, wildebeest, buffalo, rhino, elephant, lion, cheetah, and leopard. Your lunch will be served at the Mara River with hippos, crocodiles, and millions of wildebeest. You'll get back to the camp at 5:30 pm. An optional activity after this time is a visit to the Maasai village at an extra cost.

Meals and your overnight stay will be at your booked lodge.

Day 03

Morning Game Drive and Return to Nairobi

After an early breakfast, we will have a game drive en route to Nairobi City. Stopovers in the towns give you an opportunity to buy souvenirs. We will arrive late in the afternoon. You will then be dropped off at your desired hotel or lodge in Nairobi, or at JKIA.

Know before you go

Research the best time to visit, as the park experiences different seasons throughout the year. The peak season is from July to October, when the wildebeest migration occurs, but this is also the busiest and most expensive time to visit. The low season is from April to June, when the park is less crowded and prices are lower, but the weather can be unpredictable.
