Day 01

Arrival in Kampala and City Discovery

  • Upon your arrival, a representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala.
  • Depending on your arrival time, our guide will take you on an exciting city tour, introducing you to the capital.
  • Explore interesting historical sites such as the Kasubi Tombs, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, the Uganda Museum, and the vibrant African Craft Village. We also recommend exchanging currency during this time.

Day 02

Journey to Jinja and the Source of the Nile

  • After an early breakfast, we will depart from the capital city and make our way to Jinja, the birthplace of the mighty River Nile.
  • Along the journey, we will stop at the enchanting Mabira Forest for a delightful walk among diverse primates, birds, and butterflies.
  • You will have various options to choose from, including visiting the Source of the Nile, experiencing Bujagali Falls, challenging the rapids with a thrilling white-water rafting adventure, and relaxing along the picturesque shores of the Nile.

Day 03

From Jinja to Mount Elgon and Sipi Falls

  • Leaving Jinja behind, we will venture into the lesser-explored eastern part of Uganda. Passing through the charming town of Mbale, nestled at the foot of Mount Elgon, you will discover a region steeped in rich heritage and captivating culture.
  • Enjoy breathtaking scenic viewpoints as we journey to Sipi Village amid mountains and waterfalls.
  • After a delicious lunch at your accommodation, embark on a memorable hike to the beautiful Sipi Falls, passing by typical African bandas, banana plantations, and maize fields.
  • Conclude the day with a delightful dinner and an overnight stay at Lacam Lodge.

Day 04

Imbalu Ceremony Preparations

  • Following a hearty breakfast, we will transfer you to the circumcision ground, where the initiates have their faces smeared with ashes and wear partial nudity below the waist.
  • Witness this significant preparation as they form a line in front of the crowd, family, and friends, and perform the ceremony in a public setting.

Day 05

The Bagisu Circumcision Ceremony

  • Early in the morning, before 10:00 AM, the circumcision ceremony involves all initiates from a specific clan.
  • Experience the vibrant atmosphere as young men carry the initiates on their shoulders, cheered on by the enthusiastic crowd, on their way to the circumcision field.

Day 06

Departure via Kampala or Entebbe

  • Depart from the Pearl of Africa, enriched by a once-in-a-lifetime experience and unforgettable memories.
  • Depending on your departure time, you may have the opportunity to spend some time in Kampala, indulging in souvenir shopping.
  • Alternatively, you can leave early for Entebbe and visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, where you can bid a final farewell to the captivating flora and fauna of the country.
  • Subsequently, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.
