Identified by local and foreign experts as a high-value natural heritage area, it is known for its rich underwater landscapes, diverse habitats, and marine flora and fauna of national, regional, and global importance. These waters provide shelter, food sources, and breeding grounds for many species, including marine algae, sponges, molluscs, crustaceans, corals, reptiles, and mammals in the Mediterranean Sea. One of the distinguishing characteristics of the biodiversity in this area is its seagrass meadows.

Day 01

Daily Tour to Sazan and Karaburun

Start point: Tirana, Albania

Time: 06:00

Departure from our offices at Rruga Myslym Shyri 7, Tiranë, near Intersport.
Coffee break on the way.
Arrival in Vlora, where the boat departs at 10:00.
The first destination is Haxhi Alia Cave, linked to Albania's most famous pirate, about 1 hour and 30 minutes from Vlora.
Continue to the Bay of Shën Jan, about 20 minutes from Haxhi Alia Cave.
Free time for lunch, either at the boat restaurant or with food you bring yourself.
Then head to Sazan Island, the largest island in Albania. During the Communist era, the entire island served as one of the largest fortified military bases in the country.
In the afternoon, depart from Vlora.
Arrival in Tirana at around 20:30.
