Know before you go

To enter a monastery, you have to be dressed properly. That means no sleeveless shirts and no shorts above the knee for men, and women must wear a skirt below the knee.
Due to the many stairs required to reach most of the monasteries, the tour is designed to give you enough time to reach them easily and also enough time for your visit. However, the tour is not suitable for people with heart conditions, pregnant travellers, or people with mobility problems.
