Day 01
Riyadh Heritage and City Highlights Tour
- 9:00 am - Meet & Greet: I will pick you up from your hotel in Riyadh at 9:00 am and help you begin your day with a visit to one of the country's most significant historical destinations.
- 9:30 am - Al Turaif District in Diriyah: We will visit the Al Turaif District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Al Turaif is the former capital of the first Saudi state and is home to the famous Salwa Palace. The design and layout of the village are characteristic of Najdi architecture, employing mud and clay as construction materials.
- Noon - National Museum: The National Museum is the perfect place to learn about Saudi Arabia's vast and rich history. The museum has eight halls dedicated to the history of Arabia from the beginning of the universe to the modern era.
- 1:00 pm - Visit Murabba Palace: Located within a 2-minute walk from the National Museum, Murabba Palace is the house of King Abdul Aziz, the country's founder. Learn about this great leader and how he overcame the challenges of establishing the vast country of Saudi Arabia.
- 2:00 pm - Lunch: Enjoy lunch at a traditional Saudi restaurant, Najd Village.
- 3:00 pm - Ascend the Kingdom Tower: The tower stands at 300 meters and offers breathtaking views of Riyadh.
- 4:30 pm - Masmak Fortress: Masmak Fortress is a historic site that played a critical role in the battle to recapture Riyadh. The fortress is now a museum, and you can lose yourself in the hustle of the surrounding squares, cafes, and markets.
- 6:30 pm - Return: Head back to the hotel.
