Hanging Temple and Hengshan Mountain Excursion
- Meet your driver in the lobby of your Beijing city hotel and transfer to the train station for a 2-hour bullet train ride to Datong. Upon arrival, your local tour guide will greet you at the train station, and you will then head directly to the Hanging Temple.
- During the tour, your guide will share detailed stories and history, and you are welcome to ask questions at any time. Built in 491 A.D., it is an architectural wonder, hanging on the west cliff of Jinxia Gorge more than 50 metres above the ground.
- Next, stop at a local restaurant for a quick lunch, then continue directly to Hengshan. To save time, you will take the cable car up the mountain. Then follow your tour guide to explore the essence of Hengshan Mountain. Hengshan comprises 72 peaks and stretches 150 kilometres, and it is renowned for its Buddhism and Taoist culture in China. Hengshan Mountain leads the five sacred mountains with its gracefulness.
- After the tour, transfer back to Datong railway station and return to Beijing. Your driver will pick you up from the train station and transfer you back to your hotel in Beijing.
