The itinerary

1
Day 01

Arrival and Safari in Tarangire

  • Arrival at Kilimanjaro, reception at the airport, and departure for Tarangire, a relatively small park compared to others in the area, but one that still covers more than three thousand square kilometres. Already on the way, we will have our first contact with this fascinating landscape, dotted with Maasai huts, where we can observe daily life.
  • Upon arrival in Tarangire, we will begin by looking for herds from its large and famous elephant population. At the same time, we will observe its characteristic baobabs, which harmoniously decorate this spectacular reserve. After lunch at the lodge, we will continue our safari in search of lions, leopards, giraffes, impalas, buffaloes, and the rest of the species that inhabit this natural paradise, enjoying the excellent colours that appear in this beautiful place at sunset. Burunge Tented Lodge. Meal plan: lunch and dinner - FB.

Day 02

Full-Day Safari in Lake Manyara

  • We will leave in the morning for a full-day safari in Lake Manyara National Park. The park covers 330 km2, of which the lake occupies 220. It is nestled in the Great Rift Valley and collects water from the surrounding heights as well as underground sources, giving it greenery almost all year round. The most sought-after animals are the famous tree-climbing lions, but there are also herds of elephants, zebras, buffaloes, baboons, antelopes, and more. The lake's waters contain numerous volcanic minerals that give it characteristic colours depending on the time of year. It is a privileged place to observe the diverse and abundant birdlife, including cormorants, storks, and pelicans, which also varies according to the seasons. The flamingos, perhaps the most striking, display their plumage majestically while fishing. Their numbers are such that they create a pink optical effect visible from a great distance. Stop for lunch (picnic) and continue with the safari.
  • Late in the afternoon, we leave the park on our way to Karatú, where we will spend the night. Eileen's Tree Inn. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner - FB.

Day 03

Ngorongoro Walking Safari and Serengeti

  • Today, after breakfast, we will enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a World Heritage Site, where we will begin a walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger, as this is mandatory. We will walk on volcanic land with exuberant vegetation, an ideal habitat for a diversity of wildlife such as buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, and elands, coexisting with Maasai herds. We will then continue on the road to another symbolic point of the region: the mythical Serengeti Park, where we will enjoy a safari on arrival in the afternoon across this beautiful endless plain. Africa Safari Ikoma-Comfort. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner - FB.
4
Day 04

Sunrise Safari in Serengeti

  • With the first rays of the sun, the safari departs to see the animals waking up and, if you are lucky, to encounter our feline friends while hunting. We continue exploring this exceptional enclave in search of the Big Five: buffalo, elephant, lion, rhino, and leopard. We also visit the many pools where hippos and crocodiles live. Perhaps the best known is Retina Hipo Pool, a deep natural pool formed by the convergence of the Seronera and Otangi rivers. Picnic lunch in the middle of the savannah, followed by the continuation of the safari until late afternoon. Africa Safari Ikoma-Comfort. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner - FB.
5
Day 05

Ngorongoro Crater Safari

  • Have breakfast and depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Its central feature is the crater of an extinct volcano, with a diameter of 20 km and a depth of 610 m - a symbolic place. The physical and climatic variables have shaped a natural paradise where many animals coexist throughout the year and highly varied flora grows, including unique species. The fauna includes elephants, buffaloes, lions, wildebeests, gazelles, zebras, and more. Perhaps the most striking animal is the black rhino, a rare and endangered species that is the target of many travellers - vehicle safari. Picnic-style lunch inside the crater, and then we continue to the Munge River area, where we can find lions with the darkest manes. We leave the crater in the afternoon and go to the accommodation. Eileen's Tree Inn. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner - FB.
