Day 01
Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace Private Tour
- Meet your tour guide in the lobby of your Beijing city hotel and head directly to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours, during which your tour guide will explain the history and stories behind the Great Wall. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Once you arrive, follow your tour guide to take the ski lift or cable car to the Great Wall. Hike up and down to explore different beacons and watchtowers and gain deep insight into the history of this magnificent wall. After spending some leisure time exploring, you can take the fun toboggan ride down to the ground or return by ski lift or cable car.
- Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before moving on to the Summer Palace. The Summer Palace features a variety of palaces, gardens, and other ancient-style architectural structures. Spend some leisure time strolling around the courtyards and halls with your tour guide, and learn many interesting stories and histories behind them.
After the tour is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
