The itinerary

1
Day 01

Arusha to Tarangire National Park Safari

  • Your driver-guide will collect you from Arusha town, and after breakfast you will begin the journey to Tarangire National Park. This is a short safari drive of about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
  • Tarangire National Park was established in 1970 and takes its name from the famous Tarangire River. It is currently the sixth-largest national park and is known for its unique and attractive features. You may also learn about studies and observations on the presence of pythons in the park. Covering 2,850 sq km, the park is home to a wide variety of animal, bird, and plant species. Enjoy the chance to encounter members of the Big Five, such as lions and elephants, as well as smaller creatures like monkeys, along with more than 550 bird species.
  • Enjoy a game drive until lunch, have your packed lunch, and then continue with the afternoon game drive.
  • At the appropriate time, your driver will take you to Roika Tarangire Lodge, where you will have time to freshen up before dinner and your overnight stay on a full-board basis.

Day 02

Journey to Serengeti and Game Drive

  • After breakfast, you will depart with a packed lunch for a game drive in Serengeti National Park. It will take about 4 hours to reach the entrance gate.
  • Serengeti National Park is one of the best national parks in Tanzania and Africa. Its endless plains are filled with a remarkable variety of wildlife. Visit one of the most popular award-winning national parks, covering a vast area of 14,763 sq km. Serengeti is especially famous for hosting the world's largest annual animal migration, with over 1.5 million blue wildebeests. In addition to game drives, the park also offers bird safaris, hot air balloon safaris, and walking safaris.
  • There is also a special package for couples who wish to marry here, as this beautiful wilderness offers a unique setting for a wedding safari. Your game drive will first take you to the central corridor at the Seronera River, where you will see baobab trees and towering acacias.

You shall have dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp on a full-board basis.

Day 03

Full-Day Central Serengeti Game Drive

  • After breakfast, your driver-guide will collect you for a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park. Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park, this day's safari will focus on Central Serengeti.
  • The golden grassy plains are home to millions of animals. Huge herds of wildebeest and zebra form the core of the Great Migration, alongside resident antelope and gazelles. You will enjoy game drives through these truly endless plains.

All meals and your overnight stay will be at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp on a full-board basis.

Day 04

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

  • After breakfast at the camp, you will depart for Ngorongoro with a game drive en route and a packed lunch. The distance is 155 km, and it takes almost 3 hours to reach the entrance gate.
  • Ngorongoro Conservation Area was established in 1959 and now covers an area of 8,292 sq km. It is a protected area and a World Heritage Site located 180 km west of Arusha, Tanzania. While in Ngorongoro, you may also enjoy a walking safari to visit a Maasai village and learn about their culture. In the area, you will see several bird species and small creatures and become familiar with Maasai lands.
  • In the late afternoon, your driver-guide will take you to Rhino Lodge, where you will have dinner and spend the night on a full-board basis.

Day 05

Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Return to Arusha

  • In the morning, breakfast will be served at 08:00 am, after which you will begin the journey to Ngorongoro Crater. Located within the conservation area, this game safari will take half a day.

Ngorongoro Crater has been labelled one of the world's natural wonders. Approximately 25,000 large animals can be found in this 30,000-hectare crater. It is also home to all of the Big Five - buffalo, elephant, rhino, lion, and leopard.

  • Later, you will ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha.
  • The day will end in the afternoon as you return to Arusha.
