4-Hour Chania and Ancient Aptera Tour with Venetian Harbor

• Learn about the ancient city of Aptera. After an exciting drive up, our first stop will be the "Ancient site of Aptera" and the "fortress of Koules". Explore the Roman cisterns, the monastery, the picturesque church, and the beautiful ancient theatre that remains. At the archaeological site of Aptera, you will be able to admire findings from all periods of inhabitation of this City-State. The ancient city's walls, which are 3,480 meters long, date back to the 4th century BC. Afterwards, we will have time to take magnificent photos of the view of Souda Bay from the Fortress of Koules. The view from there is breathtaking.

• We will walk together on the stone paths where the Venetians, the Ottomans, and the old Cretans used to live and work. We will admire the incredible flower-decorated neighbourhoods, learn about Cretan history, mythology, and traditions, meet the locals, and eat like locals.
