Know before you go

Timing and assembling for the palace are flexible; they could change because of traffic during the tour.
There could be incredible traffic in Dhaka. Sometimes, you may have to wait a long time without moving on every block of the road.
Bengali local food is spicy in nature. Biriyani and Khichuri, made with rice, meat, and special spices, are famous foods of Old Dhaka.
Modest clothes are required to visit the mosque. Shorts are not allowed, and women must cover their hair and arms with clothing.
Ahsan Manzil and the National Museum are closed on Thursday and open on Friday at 3:00 pm. Lalbagh Fort is closed on Sundays and opens on Mondays at 2:00 pm. Ahsan Manzil and Lalbagh Fort are also closed on government holidays. However, you can still have an outside view of these palaces.
