4-Day Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor with Abu Simbel and Balloon

• A licensed tour guide will meet and assist you at Aswan Airport, railway station, or hotel, then transfer you by air-conditioned van to your 5-star Nile cruise for check-in before lunch. Have lunch on board.
• Start your tour by visiting the Aswan High Dam, completed in 1960 to protect Egypt from flooding and generate electricity.
• Proceed to the Temple of Philae, the Graeco-Roman temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, reached by a small motorboat.
• Later, return to your cruise for dinner, a folkloric show, and an overnight stay.

• Around 4:30 am, your guide will pick you up for the Abu Simbel trip in a shared small group. Arrive around 8:00 am to visit one of the unique places in Egypt: the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel, with their unique design built for King Ramses II and his beloved Queen Nefertari. Return to the cruise by noon for lunch, then sail to Kom Ombo city.
• Arrive in Kom Ombo to visit the dual temple of Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. Return to the cruise for dinner, then continue sailing to Edfu for an overnight stay.

• After breakfast, enjoy a horse carriage ride with your tour guide to visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, considered the most complete and best-preserved of all Egyptian temples.
• Return to the cruise.
• Relax on deck as you watch the unique landscape and admire the beautiful scenery of the Nile River while sailing to Luxor. Cross the Esna Lock.
• Lunch is served on board.
• Enjoy afternoon tea on the sundeck.
• Late in the afternoon, arrive at your cruise dock and transfer to visit Luxor Temple on the East Bank of Luxor, where ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic features are exhibited.
• Dinner is served on board, followed by a belly dancing show and an overnight stay in Luxor.

Note: If you arrive at Luxor dock by 3:00 or 3:30 pm, you can visit both Karnak and Luxor Temples.

• Begin around 5:00 am with pickup for an incredible 30 to 45-minute hot air balloon flight over the West Bank of Luxor. Enjoy an aerial view of the country's landscape and famous landmarks, and watch the sunrise illuminate the sky above the open-air museum city of Luxor, with the great temples and mountains below.
• After breakfast and check-out, start your unforgettable day by driving to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom carved their tombs into the mountains to hide their treasures and protect their mummies.
• Then continue to the Mortuary Temple of the famous Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari, where you will discover her beautiful temple and the engaging story involving her nephew. End your West Bank tour with a photo stop in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon. Lunchtime in a local restaurant is optional.
• Return to the East Bank to see Karnak Temple, the most significant temple ever built over 2,000 years and covering an area of about 63 acres. Take nice pictures among its vast pillars and obelisks.
• Finally, transfer to your Luxor hotel, airport, or railway station, around 3:00 to 4:00 pm.
