Mindelo Cultural Walking Tour

• Pick up at your accommodation at 09:30 am.
• Come and experience the Cultural Capital of Cabo Verde with us. Admire the architectural style of its colourful buildings, both old and new, reminiscent of New Orleans, with their wide galleries, unique doors, shuttered windows, and ceramic and shingled tiled roofs.
• Walk along Avenida Marginal to Praia d Bote, Diogo Afonso, Belem Tower, and the Fish Market, then continue to the African Market. From there, take a stroll to Church Square, where the first community was established, and head on to the Municipal Market, where you will find an array of colourful fruits, vegetables, natural teas, and handicrafts.
• Take a stroll along Rua Lisboa, the heartbeat of the city, and see its barefoot 'Walk of Fame', representing the many famous artists, musicians, poets, and writers of Cabo Verde.
• Stop at the home of Cesária Évora, our Queen of Morna and famous 'Barefoot Diva'.
