Day 01

Arrival in Colombo and Transfer to Anuradhapura

  • Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo.
  • Transfer to Anuradhapura (approx. 4 hours).
  • Explore Anuradhapura and visit ancient sites such as Sri Maha Bodhi, the Sacred Bodhi Tree, Ruwanwelisaya, and Jetavanaramaya.
  • Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.

Mihintale and Anuradhapura Heritage Exploration

Morning:

  • Head to Mihintale, the cradle of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, to visit the famous monastery and climb the steps to enjoy breathtaking views.

Afternoon:

  • Continue exploring the Anuradhapura UNESCO World Heritage Site, including more stupas, temples, and ruins.

Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.

Transfer to Dambulla and Cave Temple Visit

  • Transfer to Dambulla (approx. 2 hours).

  • Overnight stay in Dambulla.

  • Transfer to Polonnaruwa (approx. 1.5 hours) and explore the ruins of the Polonnaruwa Ancient City. Visit the Royal Palace, Gal Vihara, and other significant monuments.
  • Overnight stay in Polonnaruwa or Sigiriya.

Pidurangala Rock and Leisure in Sigiriya
