Day 01

Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City and Jinshan Park

Your tour begins with pickup from your centrally located Beijing hotel by your private guide. You will first visit Tian'anmen Square, the city's most significant central square, surrounded by the Great Hall of the People, the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, and the National Museum of China.
After walking around Tian'anmen Square, pass through the south gate to the magnificent Forbidden City, the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Forbidden City is the most significant piece of ancient Chinese architecture and one of the best-preserved examples.
Exit the Forbidden City through the north gate to see Jinshan Park, also called Coal Hill. Hike to the top with your tour guide and admire the superb view of the Forbidden City.
Your tour ends at Jinshan Park. You can explore more of the area on your own, or your tour guide can help you get a taxi back to your hotel or your next destination at your own cost.
