Explore the Highlights of Jodhpur
- The driver will pick you up at the hotel and while en route you will get insights about Jodhpur and its rich heritage. Upon reaching you will see the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur perched atop a 150m hill. It was built in 1459 by Rao Jodha, the then-chief of the Rajput clan. The fort is a rich repository of palaces, galleries, temples, and a museum.
- The first attraction on your list is the fascinating Umaid Bhawan Palace, built by Maharaja Umaid Singh in the 20th century. A part of the palace is now re-purposed into a luxurious heritage hotel and a museum.
- Next, you will see the 'Taj Mahal of Marwar', the Jaswant Thada, a royal cenotaph made of white marble built to commemorate Maharaja Jaswant Singh. You will get to see some of the rare portraits of former rulers of Jodhpur.
