Hear exciting stories such as that of the first "robot, " an artificial man, Golem of Prague.
Itinerary
-
Jewish Quarter of Prague
- Walk around the Jewish Quarter and explore its awe-inspiring cultural landmarks, including the oldest continuously functioning synagogue in Northern Europe, the Jewish Town Hall, and the mystical old Jewish cemetery.
- We will visit where the Jewish people once lived and where splendid Parisian-style buildings with luxury brand stores are now concentrated.
- The most famous Prague legends are also centred in this area, and as we walk around, the guide will tell you the story of the first "robot" - an artificial man known as the Golem of Prague.
- Continue to the famous Jewish Museum, one of the most visited museums in Prague. The museum houses over 40,000 objects, 100,000 books and an extensive archive of the Czech Jewish community's past, making it one of the most significant heritages of the Jewish Community.
- For ages, the Prague Jewish Quarter has been a major pilgrimage destination for the Jewish diaspora and is one of the highlights of any visit to Prague. During our time together, the guide will help enrich your experience further. I would be happy to answer any questions regarding Jewish people's dramatic history, traditions, and place in society.
