Day 01

Explore the Seven Quarters of Lisbon

Tag along with your Lisbon tour guide and explore the 7 quarters: Belém, Chiado, Bairro Alto, Baixa, Castelo, Alfama, and Parque das Nações/Expo.
Arrive in Belém and visit Jerónimos Monastery (Manueline, 16th century), Belém Tower (Manueline, 16th century), the Monument to the Discoveries (20th century), the traditional milk custard tarts of Belém, "Pastéis de Belém" (19th century), and the National Museum of the Carriages.
Head to Chiado and enjoy a meal at the café, "A Brasileira".
Stop by Bairro Alto and see the viewpoint of São Pedro de Alcântara, the Convent of Carmo (Gothic, 14th century), and the Church of São Roque (Mannerism, Jesuits, 17th century).
Move to Baixa (Downtown) and go to Parque Eduardo VII, Avenida da Liberdade, the squares of Rossio and Restauradores, St. Dominic's Church (Baroque, Dominicans, 18th century), Ginjinha, Baixa Pombalina (Pombaline Downtown), and Praça do Comércio.
Visit Alfama and continue to Lisbon Cathedral (Romanesque / Gothic, 12th century) and the viewpoint of Portas do Sol.
Enter Castelo and visit St. George Castle.
Go to Parque das Nações/Expo and see the Oceanarium, Alameda dos Oceanos, Lisbon Casino, Portugal Pavilion, Oriente Station, Atlantic Pavilion, the Vasco da Gama Bridge, and the modern buildings throughout the area.
