Nam Ngum Lake, Vang Sang and Rural Villages
Get picked up from your hotel in Vientiane at 8:00 AM. Then, your Vientiane guide and driver will escort you to Nam Ngum Lake.
On the way, stop at the Hmong village market, 52 km before continuing to Vang Sang. Discover numerous bas-reliefs representing Buddha dating back to the 8th-12th centuries. These bas-reliefs are sculpted and carved into the rock.
Continue your journey to Nam Ngum Lake, the largest lake in Lao PDR, and enjoy its great natural scenery.
Eat lunch by the lakeside at your own expense.
Enjoy a one-hour cruise on the lake and admire the beautiful greenery-filled landscape.
In the afternoon, return to Vientiane by road, driving through local villages.
Drive directly to Ban Nabor, where salt mines can be found. Close to the salt mines, there is also a zoo.
Pass by Tha Ngone village bridge, a very peaceful setting.
