The itinerary

Day 01

Lake Manyara Game Drive and Highview Hotel

Pick up from Moshi/Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game drives; this takes about 3 hours. After having a picnic lunch in Manyara, start a late afternoon game drive, the best time to view animals in this park. When you approach it from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon, forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the groundwater forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, and on the escarpment, elephants stand in the shade. Overnight at Highview Hotel.

Day 02

Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Ngorongoro Wild Camp

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive inside the crater. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhinos, as well as lions, including the magnificent black-maned males. There are lots of colourful flamingoes and a variety of water birds. Other game you can see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wild Camp.

Day 03

Drive to Serengeti and Maasai Cultural Visit

Head out after breakfast for the drive to Serengeti National Park. The word "Serengeti" is derived from the Maasai language, meaning "endless plain". En route to Serengeti, you can visit a Maasai village, a perfect place to explore Maasai culture and even participate in cultural activities. Later on, enjoy a game drive on the way to your camp. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Wildebeest Camp.

Day 04

Full-Day Serengeti Safari and Ikoma Walking Safari

After breakfast, venture into the Serengeti's wilderness corners for a full day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch beside you, explore this world heritage site, where the earth's largest concentration of plain game still roams free. In the afternoon, go to Ikoma Wild Camp for a short walking safari with a magical sundowner. Later on, return to camp for rest, dinner, and overnight.

Day 05

Bush Breakfast, Game Drives, and Ikoma Night Safari

Enjoy a well-set bush breakfast, then proceed for full-day game drives. In the evening, drive to Ikoma Wild Camp for night game drives. Dinner and overnight at Ikoma Wild Camp.

Day 06

Return to Arusha or Moshi for Departure

After breakfast, transfer back to Moshi/Arusha for departure.
