8-Hour Troodos Mountains UNESCO Churches Tour from Limassol

Discover some of the 10 UNESCO-listed steep-pitched roof chapels of the Troodos Mountains, all entirely covered with magnificent frescoes dating from the 11th to the 16th century AD. Visit the church of Panagia tou Araka near Lagoudera village, built and decorated in 1192 at about 1200 meters above sea level, then continue downhill to the chapel and deserted monastery of Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis, an 11th-century double-roof building set amid lush vegetation and dense forest.
