9-Day Waza National Park Wildlife Safari with Rhumsiki and Bidzar

• Welcome at the airport, followed by a transfer to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

• Wake up and have breakfast, followed by time to relax. In the afternoon, transfer to Nsimalen Airport for the CAMAIRCO flight to Maroua. Upon arrival in Maroua, enjoy a city tour before driving to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

• After breakfast, drive to Rhumsiki, a village famous for its multiple lunar-style peaks. Located in the Mandara Mountains near the Nigerian border, these unique peaks, including the renowned Kapsiki Peak reaching an altitude of 1224 meters, offer a must-see landscape in Cameroon.
• We will hike to explore the village and discover its hidden treasures. The evening is free for exploration and enjoyment. Dinner at the Rhumsiki camping site and overnight stay.

• Wake up early to admire the beautiful sunrise in Rhumsiki Village. Visit the potters and weavers of the village and discover the objects they create. Then drive from Rhumsiki to Djingliya and continue to Oudjilla.
• Here, visit the Chief Palace of Oudjilla and chat with the village Chief. Afterwards, drive through the fascinating landscape to Waza National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the Waza camping site.

• Explore the great Waza National Park throughout the day. Return to the Waza camping site in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

• Drive to Pouss village, the best site to admire the Mousgoum shell hut architecture. Visit the Sultanate of Pouss and learn about the culture of the Mousgoum people.
• Continue to Maga and visit the lake. Explore the fishing village and fish market. Dinner and overnight stay.

• Drive to Mindif and enjoy the unique view of its teeth-shaped mountains. Meet artists and renowned calabash carvers known for the quality of their art.
• Return to Maroua and visit the handicraft center for souvenirs. Dinner and overnight stay.

• After breakfast, drive to the archaeological site of Bidzar, known for its marble paintings and carvings dating back thousands of years. Visit the Gorges of Kola, impressive rocky rifts.
• Continue to Garoua for a city tour. Relax, have lunch, and then transfer to Garoua Airport for a domestic flight to Yaounde.

• After breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Yaounde. Purchase art objects from the Yaounde Artisanal Centre as souvenirs. Have lunch, then transfer to Nsimalen International Airport for your flight home.
