Day 01

Lomé City Highlights and Asigame Market

  • Pick up from the hotel and visit Independence Square and its monument, the National Museum, where you will see historical relics that tell the story of our culture, and Lomé Palace, a former German fort that later became the Presidential residence.
  • Head to the open market of Asigame, one of the largest in West Africa, where you will visit the artisan market, home to all sorts of artefacts.
  • Continue to the Nana Benz local fabric lane in the market, then enjoy a drive-by view of Lomé beach before returning to the hotel.

Day 02

Agbodrafo, Togoville, and Voodoo Heritage

  • Go on a 30-minute drive to Agbodrafo to visit the wood home, also known as the slave house, a house built after the abolition of slavery for clandestine operations in the slave trade.
  • Head to Togoville, crossing from the mainland by boat on a 20-minute cruise, and visit one of the oldest cathedrals in Togo, Togoville's unique trade-by-barter market, and various voodoo shrines. The fetish market, a traditional pharmacy, is home to various animals and voodoo dolls and artefacts used to prepare potions.

Return to the hotel.

Journey to Kara and Kara National Park

  • Start a 5-hour trip to Kara, drive through the city of Kara, and visit Kara National Park.
