Day 01
Private Cape Winelands Tour through Stellenbosch and Paarl
- After an early morning collection in Cape Town, travel to the iconic Cape Winelands, with your first stop being the historic town of Stellenbosch.
- Arrive at Spier Wine Estate for an inclusive wine tasting catering for the adults and the little ones. A selection of superb wines and alcohol-free grape juice will be provided. The estate boasts beautiful lawns, gorgeous tasting rooms, and an array of activities, including the Spier Eagle Encounters, which may be visited at an additional cost.
- Continue on to the second stop on the Stellenbosch wine route at Middelvlei Estate. Whilst the adults enjoy a wine tasting with a culinary treat, the kids can busy themselves by playing in the sandpit, feeding the farm animals, revelling in the freedom of the open space on kick bikes, or toasting their own marshmallows on a braai. Snack boxes will also be provided to the kiddies. Lunch may be enjoyed here at Middelvlei (to own account). Join the Boerebraai fun at Middelvlei for boerewors and chicken sosaties perfectly prepared on an open fire. As if the appetizing aromas of potbrood and braaibroodjies are not enough, Ben's homemade pate and Ouma Annie's pumpkin fritters have certainly placed the Middelvlei Braai in a league of its own (booking is essential).
- Depart Stellenbosch and head to the Paarl wine region to visit the enticing Spice Route. Take a moment to taste their flagship red blend, enjoy a chocolate and confectionery tasting for the kids, and explore the family-friendly estate. Other estate facilities include a craft brewery for ultra-slick beer tasting, Wilderer Distillery for grappa, an art gallery, a glass-blowing studio, a biltong bar, a kids' play area, an underground tasting room, and so much more! The tour ends with drop-off at your hotel in the early evening.
