Day 01
Jericho, Monasteries and Jordan River Journey
- Begin the tour by meeting your tour guide and heading to Jericho.
- Have a look at Saint Theodosius Monastery on the way.
- Enjoy Arabic coffee hospitality.
- Then, drive and stop by Saint George's Monastery in the wilderness and enjoy the view.
- Stop by the sea level sign and take pictures.
- Next, stop by Elnby Mousa Shrine.
- Continue to Temptation Mountain Monastery (Deir Qruntel). You can use the cable car.
- Afterwards, proceed to Tel el-Sultan, the ancient city of Jericho, more than 10,000 years old. Have a look at Jasha's Spring.
- Take a lunch stop for a traditional dish.
- Continue to the sycamore tree and Hisham's Palace, home to the largest mosaic in the whole world.
- Later, go to the Jordan River, where Jesus was baptized.
Note: We can also visit the Dead Sea if time permits. You can choose either the Dead Sea or Hisham's Palace.
