Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple Tour
- Meet the tour guide, who will pick you up from the hotel, and you will get to visit the east bank of Luxor.
- Go to the Karnak Temple, which was dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. Amun, also known as Amon, Ammon and Amen, was the Egyptian god of the sun and air. Regarded as one of the most important gods, Amun is the ancient Egyptian civilization during the beginning of the rise of the New Kingdom from 1570 to 1069 BCE. Mut, also known as Maut, Mout and Mut, was a goddess worshipped by ancient Egyptians. The meaning of her name is ‘mother’, and therefore she was known as the mother goddess. For some, she was known as the mother of everything in the world, and for others, they recognized her as the mother of the moon child god khonsu. Khonsu was known as the son of the goddess Mut; Khonsu was the ancient Egyptian god of the Moon. The meaning of his name is ‘traveller’.
- Later you get to visit Luxor Temple. It was built in the New Kingdom by Amunhotep III, and Ramesses II completed it. The temple was dedicated to worshipping Theban triad Amun- Ra, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu.
- End the tour by visiting the great Obelisk of Ramses II in front of the 1st Pylon.
- Head back to the hotel.
