Explore Cambodia's cultural highlights on a 7-day journey through Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. Discover the ancient wonders of Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, Baphuon, and Angkor Wat, including a beautiful sunrise visit and an excursion to Kbal Spean waterfall. The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Siem Reap and City Walk

Arrive in Siem Reap on 10 December 2022, with airport pickup included. After checking in at the hotel, enjoy a walk around the city, depending on the time.

Day 02

Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, and Sunset at Bakheng

We will meet at the hotel lobby and start the tour after breakfast, visiting amazing temples.
In the morning, we will visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom, including the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, designed by King Jayavarman VII (1181-1218 CE) with its towering faces, Baphuon Temple, the Royal Palace, Phimeanakas Temple, Elephant Terrace, Preah Palilay Temple, one of the temples overgrown by three trees, Thommanon Temple, and Ta Nei Temple, hidden in the jungle.
We will break for lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will see Ta Prohm Temple, famous from the Lara Croft or Tomb Raider movie, Banteay Kdei Temple, and enjoy sunset at Bakheng Temple on top of the mountain, with a view of Angkor Wat from the summit.

Day 03

Sunrise at Angkor Wat and Kbal Spean Adventure

Today, we will start early for a beautiful sunrise at Angkor Wat Temple, the most famous heaven-on-earth monument built in the 12th century. It is one of the best tourist destinations in Southeast Asia, followed by breakfast at the temple.
After breakfast, we will continue our adventure to visit Kbal Spean waterfall, known for its carvings on the riverbed of a thousand Lingas. We will hike 1.5 km along the slopes of the mountain. On the way back, we will visit Banteay Srei Temple, built from pink sandstone with exquisite carvings, as well as Preah Khan Temple and Ta Som Temple, before returning to the hotel.

Day 04

Kampong Pluk Floating Village and Artisan Discoveries

Today, we will visit Kampong Pluk stilted village, also known as a floating village, where we will see how life is lived on Tonle Sap Lake.
On the way back, we will see Bakong Temple, and in the afternoon, you can go on a city tour or shop and visit Artisan Angkor Shop, the best carving school run by local people.

Day 05

Phnom Penh Heritage and History

We will visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum, and Genocide Museum, where prisoners were kept during the Khmer Rouge period (1975-1979).

Day 06

Silk Island and Phnom Penh Markets

Today, we continue our adventure in the city and visit Silk Island, where locals have woven silk from generation to generation.
In the afternoon, we will continue to Central Market and Toul Tompoung Market.
