20-Day Jeep Safari in Pakistan with Kalash Culture and Deosai

Today, we will receive you at Islamabad Airport and give a short briefing before transferring you to the hotel. The rest of the day will be spent driving around the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi for sightseeing. In the evening, we will return to the hotel.

Today, we will embark on our journey by special Jeep to North Pakistan, travelling from Islamabad to Abbottabad city, Mesehra, and Thakot via the Hazara Motorway. We will then connect to the Karakorum Highway and continue through Besham for lunch, followed by Indus Kohistan, Patton, and Dassu. We will stop at the 2nd-century rock carving at Shitiyal and continue onward to Chilas.

Drive from Chilas and stop at the Thalpa rock carving. Enjoy views of Nanga Parbat, the Killer Mountain, and stop at the meeting point of the world's three greatest mountain ranges: the Karakoram, Himalayas, and Hindu Kush. Continue to the Chinese Engineers' Graveyard, the world continental plates, the Old Silk Road, and the Rakaposhi viewpoint.

Arrive in Hunza-Karimabad, visit Baltit Fort, and enjoy local sightseeing. Meet local people and take photographs. Later, drive to Duiker village for sunset photography of 7000 m mountain panoramas, along with views over Nagar and Hunza Valley.

Today, we visit Altit Fort and Atta Abad Lake, where we will take a boat ride. Continue to the Husseni Suspension Bridge, Passu corn, and Borth Lake.

Then head to Passu Ghar for a short trek with views of the Karakoram mountains and enjoy a pretty walk in the village. In Passu, meet local Wakhi men for local photography.

Enjoy views of Passu village and the Batura Wall, then continue through the small cozy village of Khyber and Sost Bazzar to Khunjerab National Park and the Pak/China border, the highest paved Jeep pass at 4790 m. Enjoy the highest pass and take pictures before driving back to Nagar lower Minapin, the gateway to towering mountains.

Travel through Minapin, Chalt, and Chaprote Valley to the beautiful Gappa meadows, where you will see high pasture with livestock. Gappa Glacier is one of the fastest-growing glaciers outside the polar region, and we will hike to the snout of the glacier.

Drive back to the Karakorum Highway and stop at the pitch of the Old Silk Route. Enjoy the stunning views of the mountains and lush alpine meadows before driving back to Gilgit. Evening leisure time.

Today, in the morning, we depart for Skardu Valley on one of the most thrilling roads along the mighty Indus River. Stop at Astak Nalla, a water stream, for lunch and continue the drive to Skardu. En route, stop for sightseeing.

The total journey distance is 200 km. Upon arrival in Skardu, transfer to the hotel. Enjoy leisure time in the evening, followed by dinner at Food Street in Skardu Bazaar.

Drive to Katpana Desert and enjoy a pretty walk on the Indus dunes with time for photography. Later, drive to Kachura village and lake, with lunch at Upper Kachura lakeside.

Drive back to Skardu for a city tour, then take a Jeep ride in the Sarfaranga Cold Desert. Visit Ambroqu Mosque, dating back to the 14th century in Shigar Valley, and Shigar Fort, built by the Amcha Khan family in the 17th century. Meet local people by visiting their houses.

Overnight stay at the hotel. Local traditional Baltit dance will be arranged, and you will enjoy local foods.

Drive to Skardu and visit the traditional bazzar. Continue to Katpana Desert and the Deosai road, then visit Karpoch Fort and enjoy views of the Indus River for photography. In the evening, return to the hotel.

Today, head to the world's largest plateau, Deosai, at 4500 m altitude. Deosai National Park offers eye-catching views of sky-touching mountains. Stop at Bara Pani and Chutta Pani and take a breathtaking view of Nanga Parbat, 8125 m, from this high point.

Stop at sparkling SheoSar Lake, set amid lush greenery, wildflowers, and meadows. Spend plenty of time on the world's highest plain, then drive to Astor Valley for an overnight stay.

In the morning, drive to Gilgit along the Atore River. En route, stop for sightseeing at the world's three greatest mountain ranges: the Karakorum, the Himalayas, and the Hindu Kush, stretching from Afghanistan to Nepal to Ladakh.

Continue to Gilgit and visit the old suspension bridge built by Great Britain in 1936. Take a pretty walk in the Kashmiri traditional bazar and enjoy a Gilgit city tour. Visit the 7th-century Tibetan Buddha figure carved by hand on the cliff, followed by dinner by the riverside.

Drive to Upper Chitral Mastuj and Parwak Valley via the wonderland of Shandu National Park at 3734 m and the land of sparkling lakes along the way. Stop at Khalti Lake, walk on the suspension bridge, stop at Phunder Lake, and take pictures of the Shandu Polo Ground and the stunning views of the Hindu Kush mountains.

Travel through Mastuj and Parwak Valley, crossing the Kabul River to Parwak village and Boni village, home to Trichmir, the highest mountain of the Hindu Kush at 7600 m. Stop at each enchanting valley of Upper Chitral Valley.

Visit Chitral Bazzar, Chitral Fort, Jamia Mosque, and the Chitral Handcraft Bazzar. Meet the local culture of the Chitrali people before returning to the hotel.

Travel from Chitral through Ayun village to the beautiful Rambur Valley of Kalash. Attend festivals and ceremonies of the indigenous Kalasha people, enjoy the men and women dancing, meet local people, visit local houses, and observe their unique culture. Drive back to Bomboret Valley for an overnight stay.

Today, the whole day will be spent exploring Kalash culture and attending Kalash folk music and dancing in Bomboret. Visit Kalasha's old wooden boxes graveyard, meet local people, and visit local houses to enjoy Kalasha culture. Also visit the museum before returning to the hotel.

Drive from Bomboret Valley through Ayun village and Loweri Pass/Tunnel, touring the Upper and Hindu Raj mountains on the way to Lower Dir and Swat Valley. Enjoy a leisure tour in the evening.

Today, the whole day will be spent on local sightseeing in Swat Valley. Visit Batkhara Stupa, the bustling bazzars of Mingora, and the White Palace, the summer settlement of the king of Swat Valley. Visit Shingardar Stupa in Barikot village and drive to Peshawar's oldest city. Optional sightseeing is available.

Drive to Islamabad and, en route, visit Taxila Museum before transferring to Islamabad. Visit Faisal Mosque, Saidpur village, the oldest village of Islamabad, the Hindu Temple, Daman-e-Koh viewpoint, Pakistan Monument, Heritage, and the bustling bazaar of Rawalpindi.

Today, early in the morning, we will transfer to the airport to catch the flight.
