Day 01

Socerb Castle and Medieval Piran Discovery

Meet your tour guide, who will pick you up from your hotel in Ljubljana.
Drive to the coast with a stop at Socerb. Socerb Castle is the only large fort building on the karst edge above the Slovenian coast and charms every visitor. The area of Socerb Castle is registered as a monument of national importance. From the castle, admire the beautiful view of the Gulf of Trieste and the Gulf of Koper - the strategic reason it was built. There is also a karst cave below the castle, connected to the castle courtyard.
Proceed to Piran. On a walking tour, get to know the pearl of the coast, a medieval town full of charm and beautiful views. After an introduction to Tartini Square, the location, and the port of Piran, walk through the labyrinth of the medieval old city centre to the Minorite Monastery of St Francis and St. Georg Cathedral.
Continue to the Punta area, then walk along the coast to the oldest square in Piran - 1st of May Square.
After 1.5-2 hours of guided touring, there will also be time for coffee or tasting local specialities.
