Day 01
Al-Shaq Canyon and Wadi Al Dissah Adventure
- Meet your tour guide, who will pick you up from the airport or your hotel and proceed to Al Dissah Valley (Wadi Qaraqir) at 8:30.
- Head to the great canyon of Al-Shaq (Ledge of Neom) at 9:30. Al-Shaq means "the tear" or "the rip," which makes sense because the earth here has literally been torn apart by tectonic forces. That is why this place is also known as the Great Canyon of Saudi Arabia. It is located in the Tabuk region between Jabal Hesma and Wadi Qaraqir, close to Shiqry village. Take a walk to check out the Ledge of Neom, where an overhang offers a perfect perspective for a souvenir picture. You can also see the famous Lion Mountain, named for its resemblance to the face of a lion, before returning to the vehicle.
- Continue to Disah Valley at 10:30. Disah is mainly located in the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Natural Reserve in the southwest of Tabuk Province. From Tabuk, it is just two and a half hours away.
- Arrive in Disah Valley, the Valley of Palms. Upon arrival, you will see exactly why the luscious valley floor, surrounded by massive sandstone cliffs and pillars and beautiful lush palm trees, is perfect for exploration. We will then head up to a nearby farm to enjoy lunch.
- Drive deeper into this staggering canyon by vintage 4x4 to enjoy its greenery, the small water stream that flows all year round, and the sandstone mountains, which rise from 100 to 500 meters and enclose the valley. Lush vegetation, including 3-meter-high grass, numerous palm trees, and bushes, flourishes between the majestic canyon cliffs.
- Discover the old engravings on the walls of Nabatean Gate. Hike and enjoy a nature walk around the valley, followed by coffee or tea with snacks.
- Finish the Wadi tour at 17:30 and enjoy a magical sunset, capturing beautiful moments with your camera to cherish the memory forever.
- Drive back to Tabuk at 18:00 and arrive by 20:00. Drop-off will be at your stay or the airport at the end of the tour.
Note: The tour starts at 08:00 a.m. in summer and 08:30 a.m. in winter, but pick-up begins 30-60 minutes earlier.
