Basseterre Landmarks and Beach Escape
- Meet your tour guide and begin your tour of the old capital, Basseterre, founded in 1525 by the French.
- View Piccadilly Circus, a small replica of what they have in London, England.
- Visit the old Slave Market, now changed to Independence Square, the Catholic Church, and St. Georges Anglican Church (Church of England), which was rebuilt after the great fire of Basseterre. After England captured Basseterre, the Catholic church was changed into a Church of England.
- Drive to Timothy Hill and admire the beautiful panoramic view for 15 minutes over the southeast peninsula stretching toward our sister island, Nevis. The peninsula is a narrow strip of land that divides two bodies of water, the Atlantic and the Caribbean. It's the best view throughout the Eastern Caribbean and a must-see.
- See Frigate Bay Valley, with beautiful homes jutting out of the hill, a golf course stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to the Caribbean Sea, and coconut palms waving in the sun.
- Head to Carambola Beach Club; however, if it is closed, we will go to Shipwreck or Cockleshell. At the beach, the amenities available include a beach bar, restaurants, bathroom, water sports, beach chairs, and umbrellas. Enjoy the beach for 3 hours, and stay longer if you so desire at no additional cost.
