Basseterre, Romney Manor, Brimstone Hill and Carambola Beach

  • Meet your tour guide and begin with about 15 minutes in the old historical capital of Basseterre, first discovered by the French in 1625 and considered the most structurally organized city in the Eastern Caribbean.
  • Continue to Romney Manor, home of Caribelle Batik and the most beautiful botanical garden in the Eastern Caribbean. It was once owned by Samuel Jefferson, the great-great-great-grandfather of Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd President of the USA.
  • Visit Brimstone Hill Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest fortress in the Caribbean, built by slaves and engineered by the British. Brimstone Hill stands 800 feet above sea level and offers stunning views.
  • See Timothy Hill, the gateway to the Southeast Peninsula. Here, you will see the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean running parallel to each other, divided by a narrow strip of land called the Southeast Peninsula. The view is second to none in all of the Caribbean.
  • Head to Carambola Beach Club, where you can swim and snorkel in the crystal Caribbean Sea, rent water sports gear, or simply kick back and relax. You will also pass by the Circus, Bay Road, Bank Street, and Fort Street in Basseterre, St. Kitts.
